We discovered and learned about some cool things this week: Borrego Springs State Park, the ecosystems of ponds, and that acai bowls due in fact deserve all the hype.

Anza Borrego Desert State Park is the largest state park in the lower 48. The visitor center was hidden in the side of a hill and had a plethora of children's activities. There was a whole classroom full of hands on activities that we all loved. The town of Borrego Springs was quaint and had fun little shops to explore. There was a brand new restaurant there that offered brick fired pizza and an amazing selection of brews.
The hiking trails also looked lovely, but we got too tired and cranky to actually try them out.

Our favorite homeschool curriculums involve walks with our Nature Anatomy book by Julia Rothman, our Sibley Guide to Birds by David Sibley, our nature journals, and of course sparkling water.

Juice Wave in Mission Beach, San Diego is fantastic. Stop by if you are ever on Mission Beach and need a healthy experience.
